What is a Trainer Membership?
There are two types of memberships at DIYWorkout.com: Basic and Trainer.  The Basic membership is available to anyone free of charge and gives you access to your personal workout logs, checkup information and reports.  The Trainer membership is available for a small yearly fee and gives you access to your client's workout logs, checkup information and reports.  In addition, a Basic membership is included in the Trainer membership to allow the personal trainer or coach to log their own workout data.

Who is the Trainer Membership designed for?
The Trainer membership is designed for personal trainers and coaches to allow them to monitor their clients' progress online and in real-time.

How do I obtain a Trainer Membership?
Obtaining a Trainer membership is very easy.  Simply click the Member Sign In button on the DIYWorkout home page and then click the New Member hyperlink.  When the Member Information page is displayed, select option Personal Trainer / Coach next to Membership Type.  Fill in the requested fields paying special attention to Trainer ID.  Since your Trainer ID will be emailed to your clients along with their invitation to join your group, try to choose a name that will reflect you such as your first initial and last name.   Once you have entered your payment information and selected a service plan, click confirm.  You may begin to use your new Training membership immediately and you will be emailed a receipt when your card is charged.

For your protection, the billing information and sign in pages are protected by SSL technology.  Always verify that you see a padlock (signifying SSL) on your browser before sending financial data over the Internet.

How do I invite my clients to join?
Once you have obtained a Trainer membership, use the Trainer Administration page found in Member Info to send your clients invitations to join.  To do this, simply enter the email addresses of your clients into the appropriate box and click the Send Invitations button.  As soon as they accept the invitation and set up a basic account, you will be able to see their workout logs, checkup data and reports.

Can I remove clients from my group?
Yes. If you no longer wish to see a client's data, you may remove them from your group by selecting the Remove Member option on the Trainer Administration page and then selecting the member to remove.

Note: When you remove a member from your account, you simply disconnect them to where they will no longer appear on your reports. They will still have their account at DIYWorkout.com.

How do I access client information?
Training memberships provide you with access to clients' Workout Log, Checkup and Reporting pages.  When you open one of these pages, a Member ID drop down list is presented in addition to any other input boxes.  Simply select the member name of the client whose data you would like to view and their information will be displayed.

The TRAINER Member ID is your personal account if you choose to log your personal data online.

How do I design workouts for my clients?
Designing custom workouts for your clients is very straight forward.  Just log in and click the Workout Log hyperlink under Fitness Tools.  Then, select the Member Name of the client you wish to design a workout for and select New from the Workout Date drop down box.  Select a workout date from the calendar and then click the Add New Exercise button.  Select an exercise from the drop down list and then enter the reps and weight for anaerobic exercises or distance and duration for aerobic exercises.  Click the Add New Set button to add an additional set for this exercise or the Add New Exercise button to add an additional exercise.  When you are finished with the workout, click Save.  When your client logs into DIYWorkout.com, they will see the workout immediately.

Is there a way to communicate with clients?
Yes, the Email hyperlink under fitness tools allow the trainers and clients to communicate with one another.  The trainer may choose to send an email to one or all clients while the client may only email their trainer.  This system operates using the trainer and clients' existing email accounts (in Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) thereby keeping them from having to check any additional accounts for email.

Can I still use DIYWorkout Mobile?
Yes.  As a matter of fact, DIYWorkout Mobile was created to be used in such an environment.  In this way, the personal trainer or coach can use their BlackBerry or Smartphone to log a client's workout data while they are being trained.  Note that each client must log in before their data can be accessed, entered and uploaded and that only one client could log in at once.
